Over the past several years, emerging from the 2020 pandemic era, the Kevin VanDam Foundation has been instrumental in encouraging and engaging people to give back to cleaning waterways, instrumental in youth fishing initiatives, and giving to children’s hospitals.
The past two years, and the future are very bright and include several significant donations to multiple non-profit organizations across the spectrum of children, the great outdoors and a bright future for all our natural resources.
Established in 2014, the Kevin VanDam Foundation was formed as a charitable vehicle to utilize VanDam’s legendary pro angler status to create more youth interest and involvement in conservation and the ethical use of natural resources.
In 2015 Kevin and Sherry started the KVD Foundation to help garner contributions for charitable organizations that focus on children’s health, education and outdoor experiences. Through the foundation they have contributed thousands of dollars to the March of Dimes, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Bronson Children’s Hospital and the Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure Center.
The VanDam’s have also supported the college fishing movement by sponsoring college events in the Midwest and awarding thousands of dollars in college scholarships over the last few years.
